Overview
Mud crab (mangrove crab) is a premium coastal line with strong demand in resorts, seafood restaurants and export markets. We grade by weight and supply it whole, fresh on ice or frozen, planning each order around distance and destination.

Our crab is sourced from the mangrove estuaries and coastal deltas along the Tanzanian coast. Sizing and availability follow the season and the catch.
Ordering crab from Samaki Direct
Send your order on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form at least two days before you need it, with the quantity in kilos and the size or grade you want. We confirm availability and the price per kilo for that order, then deliver in Dar es Salaam on the agreed day. It is supplied whole, as landed or cleaned, fresh on ice or frozen. Zanzibar, upcountry and export orders are possible on request; upcountry and export transport and clearing are at the buyer’s cost, and Zanzibar follows the Zanzibar price list.
Mud crab is graded by weight per crab and sold by the kilo. It is best ordered for a fixed delivery day, and the two-day lead time lets us grade to the size you serve.
