Quality, harvest & handling
Quality control
Every consignment is inspected against the specification agreed with the buyer before it leaves us — size, skin condition, freedom from blemish and defect, and maturity. Fruit that does not meet grade is set aside, so what a buyer receives matches what was ordered.
Harvesting
Hass is harvested at the maturity your market requires, measured by dry matter rather than colour, since Hass ripens off the tree. Picking to the correct maturity window is what protects eating quality after a long journey, and it is the single most important control for export fruit.
Sorting & grading
After harvest the fruit is sorted to remove anything off-grade, then graded by size (count) and quality class. Grading to a consistent count per carton is what lets a buyer plan ripening and retail, so we grade to the count sizes you specify.
Packaging
Hass is packed into standard export cartons — typically 4 kg or 10 kg — with the count and labelling your market requires, and palletised for cold-chain transport. Retail, food-service and bulk formats are all available to specification.
Storage
Between grading and dispatch, fruit is held cool to slow ripening and preserve condition. Correct temperature management from the packhouse onward is what keeps Hass firm and unblemished until it reaches the buyer.
