Product overview

PRD 01Moringa & Natural Products

Moringa powder is made by drying and milling the leaves of Moringa oleifera — the fast-growing "drumstick tree" — into a fine, deep-green powder used across the wellness, food and beverage trade. Moringa leaf is naturally a source of plant protein, vitamins and minerals, which is why it is blended into smoothies, teas, capsules and functional foods. ShambaFresh sources moringa through our farming and outgrower network, mills and sieves it to a consistent grade, and packs it to the format wholesale, private-label and export buyers require.

We supply moringa leaf powder in bulk as a raw ingredient for the wholesale, private-label and export trade — milled from dried leaves to a fine, even particle size. The same powder can be packed as bulk food-grade sacks for manufacturers or as retail-ready pouches under your own brand. We work to your specification on fineness, packaging and labelling rather than pushing a single fixed pack-out.

Origin & farming

PRD 02Sourcing

Moringa thrives in Tanzania's warm lowland and semi-arid regions, where the tree is hardy, drought-tolerant and quick to regrow after cutting. Leaves are grown and hand-harvested across these areas and aggregated through our outgrower network, giving a consistent, traceable supply base rather than one-off purchases from the open market.

Moringa is grown with organic-minded practices — the tree needs little in the way of inputs, and leaves are harvested by hand as they mature. We support our outgrowers with agronomy guidance so the crop comes in clean, healthy and to a repeatable standard, season after season.

Quality, harvest & handling

PRD 03Every step
01

Quality control

Every batch is checked against the specification agreed with the buyer — bright green colour (the clearest sign that leaves were dried carefully rather than scorched), fresh grassy aroma, fineness of the milled powder and freedom from stalk or foreign matter. Anything off-grade is set aside so what a buyer receives matches what was ordered.

02

Harvesting

Leaves are stripped by hand from the stems at the right maturity, favouring younger foliage for better colour and flavour, then moved quickly out of the sun. Getting harvested leaves to drying fast is the single most important control for a vivid green powder, because heat and delay dull the colour and the leaf quality.

03

Sorting & grading

Leaves are dried gently — in shade or at low heat rather than harsh direct sun — to preserve their colour and nutrient value, then de-stemmed, milled and sieved to a fine mesh. Grading to a uniform particle size is what lets a buyer blend, encapsulate or pack the powder consistently, so we mill and sieve to the fineness you specify.

04

Packaging

Bulk powder is packed into food-grade, moisture-barrier sacks or lined cartons for manufacturers and wholesalers. For private-label buyers we pack to your pouch size, brand and labelling, so the finished retail unit arrives ready to sell.

05

Storage

Moringa powder is a dried, shelf-stable product, but colour and freshness are best protected when it is kept dry, cool and out of direct light in sealed packaging. Moisture and light are the main enemies of a green powder, so we pack and advise handling with that in mind.

06

Transport

As a dry, shelf-stable ingredient, moringa powder needs no cold chain — it ships at ambient temperature, by sea freight for bulk volumes and by air for smaller or time-sensitive orders. Sealed, moisture-barrier packaging keeps the powder in condition throughout the journey.

Seasonal availability

Because moringa is evergreen and regrows quickly after cutting, leaf can be harvested through much of the year in suitable climates, giving more continuous supply than a seasonal fruit crop. We will confirm current availability against your enquiry.

Supply is aggregated across our farming and outgrower network, which lets us commit to repeatable volumes rather than one-off lots. Tell us your target volume, grade and delivery schedule and we will confirm what we can meet.

Export & wholesale supply

PRD 05For commercial buyers

We prepare moringa powder for international buyers end to end — milling and sieving to your fineness grade, packing to your bulk or private-label format, and arranging the export documentation the destination requires. The powder is presented to your specification so it arrives ready to blend, pack or shelve.

For wholesale buyers, distributors, wellness brands and food and beverage manufacturers we supply moringa powder in bulk to an agreed grade and packaging format, on a schedule that fits your business. MOQ, pricing and lead times are provided on enquiry.

Dried, shelf-stable and light to ship, moringa powder is well suited to wellness and food buyers across the Gulf, Europe and beyond. See what we supply to each market.

Frequently asked questions

FAQBuyer questions

What pack sizes and formats do you supply?

We pack moringa powder as bulk food-grade sacks or lined cartons for manufacturers, and as retail-ready pouches to your own size, brand and labelling. Share your format and we will confirm what we can supply.

Can you supply private-label or white-label moringa powder?

Yes. We mill and sieve to your fineness grade and pack under your brand and labelling, so the finished retail unit arrives ready to sell.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on the grade, packaging and destination. Tell us your target volume and delivery schedule and we will come back with what we can meet and the terms.

Can you mill to a specific fineness or specification?

Yes. We grade the powder to the particle fineness you specify and pack to your format. We supply to an agreed written specification and arrange the export documentation the destination requires.

How is the powder dried, and how is the green colour kept?

Leaves are dried gently — in shade or at low heat rather than harsh sun — then milled and sieved. Careful drying and quick handling after harvest are what give the powder its bright green colour.

Is moringa powder shelf-stable and how should it be stored?

Yes, it is a dried, shelf-stable ingredient. It keeps best sealed, dry, cool and out of direct light, since moisture and light are what affect colour and freshness over time.
